Trident-For and Against

Sometime within the next year, the Government will debate and then vote on Trident. The current generation of nuclear submarines that carry Trident will end their lifespan in the late 2020s, and so the decision as to whether Britain will commit to renewing Trident needs to be made soon. First, a little bit of information. Trident …

Turkey shoots down Russian aircraft……

Well this is interesting. Turkey has shot down a Russian Su-24 attack aircraft. The aircraft was hit by an air to air missile from a Turkish F16, both pilots ejected and the aircraft crashed in Syria. Turkey has justified it's actions by saying the aircraft was inside Turkish airspace (this is denied by Russia). And …

However, the Russian airline whose plane crashed on wednesday has claimed the crash was caused by an "external influence". Now I'm no genius, but this seems to me to be the airline trying to place the blame as far away from …

The Day Summed Up #9

Well it's been a busy few days. But I'm going to start with the Russian airliner that crashed over Egypt on Saturday. The flight was carrying 224 people, all of whom were killed. And there are initial suggestions that this was an MH17 style attack, only ISIS being the culprits instead of Russia/Ukraine. In theory, …
